A44 is a Dramatic Thriller created by Chris Cooney and written by Chris Cooney and award-winning screenwriter and bestselling author, Brooklyn Hudson.

HOW WE GOT HERE

I was 6-years-old when I first watched E.T. – The Extra-Terrestrial and the film changed my life forever. I became captivated by the big screen, and later, the genre of horror. My father played a huge part in my passion by making films with me, my siblings, and our friends, shooting on his super-8 camera. At age 16, when all my friends were buying cars, I saved my money and purchased a camcorder.

It’s been my lifelong dream to direct a feature film and beyond my wildest dreams to cast this film with the very actors* who inspired me and had the biggest impact on my early life and passion for film.

I have taken the road less travelled, starting a popular YouTube channel, creating an award-winning cookbook (which includes the graphic novel based on an earlier incarnation of our current A44 script). Things haven’t always been easy, but I’ve stuck with what I love and believe.

Now I have a once in a lifetime opportunity to make my film with a professional crew, award-winning filmmakers, and an iconic cast*. My story, A44, is coming to life as an entertaining, emotional, and thought-provoking film, worthy of the big screen. A44 will make you think about the choices you make every day, and the impact they have on others.
